Celebrate your ordinariness, especially

among all them extreme

adventurers, the daredevils, the

forever-thrill seekers who

must savour forever the

adrenalin rush. They’re already

gone to us, the

ones left behind: the

janitors, the sweepers, the

garbos, the petulant welfare

bludgers and all of

life’s failures and the

rejects, even the office workers

who never advance beyond

that pay grade that

marks them as a

member of the elite —

the Witches Coven or

Wizards of Business or

Super Serious Soldiers (the

SSS) – the bright ones,

the greatest of hope

we have (God save

us).  Celebrate therefore and

just let the night

flow away like the

whiskey or wine or

ale or whatever else

you choose to drink

to forget your ordinariness.

I enjoy solo wargaming and writing. The first caters to the boy that never grew up; the latter satisfies a deep desire to communicate. Cheers.

  1. It’s often hard to embrace that nothing great or special is ever going to happen to you as you grow old. Maybe that’s the best of all roads to travel.
