One Aspect of Poet-ism

A poet is a braggart,

a corsair of words,

a scavenger in search of

that line or verse.

A pilot who steers

amid constellations and empty

voids in search of

that elusive cohesive unity.

A weaver as well,

a threader of tales,

emotive lies bound together

by fine threads that

ultimately define this venture

as an art or,

if it’s bad, propaganda.

A poet is common,

like the Everyday Man,

a voice for the

masses, or a select

few. A poet will

shout and scream, like

most drums — a silent

one is perhaps the

Poet Supreme for in

saying nought but conveying

all is worth aspiring

to but somehow never

reached because our words

get in the way.

I enjoy solo wargaming and writing. The first caters to the boy that never grew up; the latter satisfies a deep desire to communicate. Cheers.
