A Lie

An icy wind is all

that’s left to savour

you by. This slump

is there to bear;

but the care is

no longer there,

the present is a lie.

And each lapse

is celebrated with

long empty stares;

the violent protests long ago

died down, stilled by the abject

acceptance that everything is

an absolute lie: life, death,

and everything else in-between.

So spare me

your hope, your

love and happiness,

and belief in some everlasting truth.

When are you going to let

them know that it was

always accessible,

and quite simple to achieve,

that choice was your

sick perverse inclusion

as a way and means

of prolonging this entertainment

on your bloody behalf

so you’d get more mileage

on what is basically

a one-joke extended?

I enjoy solo wargaming and writing. The first caters to the boy that never grew up; the latter satisfies a deep desire to communicate. Cheers.
